Psychotherapist, Co-Founder of Threshold Experiential Therapy

“As a Buddhist psychotherapist focused on deeply relational trauma therapy, I am passionate about transformative healing and guiding my clients to discover new ways of living with clarity, courage and connection.”

About Me

Hi, I’m Jamie (she/her). I believe healing is only possible within the context of deep relational safety. If you have felt alone with moments of unbearable suffering, then I want you to know that I am here to bear it with you. Together we can ride the waves of pain and reconnect with the sweet fullness of life that lies on the other side.

My work is oriented towards that which is unbreakable in you- the strength, hope, and vitality that is already at your core and merely needs to be rediscovered as your true self. This work is my calling, and it’s an honor to embark on this journey with you.

Who I Work With

Does this sound like you? You’ve tried talk therapy but still feel stuck. You have a sense that pain from the past lives on in the present, but you are skilled at pushing it down and getting on with daily life.

What brings you to therapy is that there are cracks in the edifice- maybe difficulty in relationships, or 3am racing thoughts, or a sense that the life you desire is forever just out of reach. You have reached a tipping point where you have summoned the courage to turn and face what you have been running from.

The adults I work with are just like you- navigating trauma recovery, grief, anxiety, depression and spiritual exploration. What they have in common is a spirit of adventure that is necessary to transform suffering at its roots and live with more presence, joy, and connection.

My Approach

My work is to accompany you in the great adventure of moving from the head to the heart. Together we will explore the mysterious realm of the psyche- both the unhealed wounds as well as the deep gifts of that which lies beyond everyday awareness.

We will work to heal the parts of you that are burdened with pain and reconnect to your core self which is always whole and untouched by trauma.

I draw from IFS parts work and relational/emotion-focused therapies, as well as Buddhist philosophy and neuroscience-based methods for transformational change. And I hold a compassionate space where every part of you is welcome.

Is Trauma Therapy for Me?

What is trauma?

Perhaps you’ve lived through moments of extreme danger or harm. Or perhaps you’ve endured the quieter—but no less devastating—daily wounding of not being seen, heard, or accepted by the people you’ve depended on. Either way, you’ve had experiences that you were too overwhelmed or too alone to cope with.

What is the impact of trauma?

Trauma is not just about what happened—it’s also what you learned about yourself or the world from those experiences. Deep down, you might carry the belief that “there is something wrong with me”, “I am unloveable”, or “the world is a scary place”. Without the safety or support to question those beliefs, parts of yourself become burdened under their weight, and you resort to emotional numbing, distraction or anything that works to avoid feeling that pain.

On an everyday level, trauma can feel like a background hum of anxiety, or the sense that you can't really feel the good things in your life. From a spiritual perspective, trauma can feel like a loss of connection to yourself, or a chronic constriction even though you desperately long to open to the fullness and beauty of life.

What can I do about it?

If this sounds familiar to you, then I want you to know that healing is possible. You can reconnect with your core self that is always whole, always untouched by trauma, and already here. From this authentic self, you can bring awareness, compassion, and witnessing to the parts that are in pain, and open to the natural ease and joy which is your birthright as a human being. It’s sacred work, and it’s a privilege and joy for me to do that work by your side.

Outside the Therapy Room

I love adventuring in the wilderness and also taking close-to-home ‘microadventures’ with my five year old son — hiking, biking, paddling, and camping. I’m also an amateur fiddle player, avid reader, and lifelong learner, always exploring new ways to grow and play.

    Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a powerful modality utilizing the medicine of ketamine. Ketamine can be used at psycholytic doses (meaning a dose low enough to engage in therapy work) or at higher, psychedelic doses. I can also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and nondual meditation into your KAP session if desired.

All KAP sessions happen in person in Northampton, MA. Clients must be medically cleared through an evaluation with Threshold’s prescribing clinician.

Rate: $500 for a three hour KAP session (does not include the medical evaluation and cost of medicine)

If you are interested in a ketamine-assisted meditation retreat I run with Loch Kelly, Paige Kelly, and the team at Sapience, read more here.

  • Sunlight shining through a dense forest of tall trees in the early morning or late afternoon.

    Psychotherapy Intensives

Intensives are an opportunity to dive deeply into the root of your suffering and break through long standing patterns of what holds you back from the life you want to live.

Intensives can be as short as a three hours on a single day or as long as six hours a day for four days in a row. If medically eligible, intensives can include ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Rate: To be determined based on the structure of the intensive.
